Speaking on the occasion, IT Secretary Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui said, “The IT industry has been given top priority by the government to improve Pakistan’s economy, create employment opportunities and raise the overall standard of living. Has been. ”

Siddiqui lauded the performance of IT professionals and entrepreneurs in making Pakistan’s ICT industry a success story, achieving a remarkable growth in remittance inflows and making it one of the largest net exporters in Pakistan’s services sector. Made it.

He stressed the need for close liaison between the IT industry and public sector entities to ensure the comprehensive development of Pakistan’s IT sector.

Usman Nasir, managing director of the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), said there was a strong demand for software technology parks in the country.

In line with the growing IT industry, software technology parks are being set up under public-private partnership mode.

PSEB is also setting up a software technology park by converting unused buildings into state-of-the-art technology parks.
