Pakistan’s Federal Board Announces Matric, Inter Exams from July 10
Matriculation and intermediate classes will begin on July 10, the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education announced Wednesday.
For the first time, the board will introduce digital attendance in exams, FBISE chairman Qaisar Alam told a press conference in Islamabad.
"There will be no more missing exam papers, no more attendance problems," he said.
According to the FBI chairman, parents will be alerted via SMS if their children fail the test.
He announced that "there will also be e-marking in the examination papers. The results can be released within a month."
Earlier this week, the government decided to hold exams for classes five, eight, nine, 10, 11 and 12.
Educational institutions across the country have reopened in cities with low coronavirus infection rates. Students are being called on an alternative basis with 50% attendance.
